Q and A with Elder Lindblom

Q:  Do you bike / walk / use public transportation most often?
A:  We walk allll day every single day.  About like probably 10 miles a day.

Q:  Do you know any of your neighbors?  Are they friendly?
A:  We only have one and she is a very stubborn old single Catholic lady who chastised us a couple times for believing what we do.

Q:  What has your Mission President been doing to inspire the missionaries in your area?  What is your favorite thing he has taught you?
A:  He just shows amazing love for us all and I love his example.  He is so cool.

Q:  How often do you do laundry?  Where do you do it?
A:  We do it once a week in our freaking creepy spider infested basement.

Q:  How much do you work on member retention in your area?
A:  We try [to visit] a couple a day but sometimes none work out so we will have zero.  There are like 300 members and about 50 come every week.

Q:  Describe an average day, from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep.
A:  Well, we wake up at 6:30 then pray, workout for 45 minutes, shower, eat breakfast and study for two hours.  Then we go out and it is about 10:30.  We talk to everybody and go to our appointments.  We come home for 1:00 - 1:30 lunch, leave again and are home again at 5:00 - 6:00 dinner then back out yet again until 9:30.  Bed by 10:30.

Q:  What should we do to be better missionaries here at home?
A:  Just be bold because you never know if one of your non-member friends is in need.  If [the gospel] is something that has blessed you, how selfish it would be not to bless them as well.

Q:  What is the weirdest thing that has happened to you on your mission?
A:  IDEK (I don't even know), lots of stuff every single day.  I get pretty tight with the black people really fast and one of the investigators who dropped us gave me a diamond encrusted watch.

Q:  Now that you're out in the mission field, what would you say we should be doing to better help Grant prepare for a mission?
A:  I would say probably getting more comfortable loving everyone.  Don't judge people.

Q:  Are there more Mets or Yankees fans where you are?
A:  IDK (I don't know), it is about even.  I just focus on my DBacks and Red Sox.

Love you Mom
